A printer always uses cartridges for printing. Many people use compatible ink cartridges.

In the past, organic-based inks were seen as being inferior because they had a tendency to rub off on your hands. However, that problem has been largely solved, he said. Case in point, try picking up an old newspaper. “I think the newspapers where the first people to use vegetable-based inks, I don’t know why they made the change. And I don’t know why the printing industry didn’t follow suit. But I think part of it is just convenience and the willingness to sit on your laurels and not change.”

Hi Joanna,

I am starting to work on the water treatment project, and I am glad that the other projects are starting too! I am a PhD student in Environemtal Eng. from Edinburgh. When I went to Cameroon in 2005, I met Eric Florantin who has a lot of experience with biogas production.

His email address is : eric_florantin@yahoo.fr, thank you for letting him know that I recommended you to get in touch with him.

His blog is : http://projetbiogaz.skyrock.com/

We are currently searching for fundings for a first visit there, in Pabal. Do you intend to go there this year?

Thanks,

Emmanuel Morin

Hi everyone,

I am working at the University of Toronto on the design challenge to design a biogas generator for use in Pabal.

At the moment, I am trying to work out how much biogas an average family in Pabal would use in a day.

Pooja Wagh has given me a good indication of how much and what types of food is likely to be eaten per person per day, but it would be useful to know roughly for how long each meal would need to be cooked for, using what type of fuel.

Can anyone provide me with this information?

Many thanks,
Joanna Read
