Drinking Water
Availability
A dam was built in Pabal recently for the purpose of making water available throughout the year. In the past, water had to be brought in by truck during the dry season. Some have looked at rainwater harvesting, but this is not done in most of the village. There are some pipelines that carry water from the dam to locations in the village. In the past, each family had its own well, but now it is common for many to share one cell.
Cleanliness
There is no organized method for water filtration or chlorination. People sometimes boil water before drinking it.
Cost
Water is sold for 31 Rupees per 15 Liters.
