Polyester clothing is more common in the village than cotton.  Polyester seems to last longer because it rips less easily than cotton.  Polyester is also easier to wash.

Tailor
Some people have clothes made in the rather than buying factory-bought clothes, because it is not very expensive.  It is estimated that half of the people have their shirts made.  The tailor uses cotton canvas for shirt collars and cuffs and puts cotton over the canvas for the rest of the shirt.  The tailor also makes a large number of school uniforms and some dresses.
